Tangy Creamy Slaw

Tangy Creamy Slaw

This slaw is traditional in sense but with a few surprising kicks. Cumin and golden raisins add an unexpected flair to this cooling side dish. If possible, prepare this slaw at least two hours ahead of time to give the flavors a chance to blend.

Serves: 6-8

Ingredients:1 medium-sized head of cabbage, shredded 1 cup carrot, shredded ¼ cup onion, finely diced 1 cup mayonnaise ¼ cup apple cider vinegar ¼ cup white sugar ¼ teaspoon cumin ¼ teaspoon celery seed ¼ teaspoon white pepper¼ cup golden raisins

Directions: In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, carrot, and onion. Toss to mix thoroughly.

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, cumin, celery seed, and white pepper. Stir or whisk until ingredients are completely incorporated.

Add the dressing to the cabbage mixture and toss, ensuring the slaw is evenly coated.

Sprinkle with golden raisins and toss gently.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.
